Dr. Niki Latiolais
Dr. Niki Latiolais is originally from upstate New York. She relocated to Texas to attend the University of Texas at Austin. After receiving her degree, she also received her DDS degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston. Drs. Trey and Niki Latiolais are excited to be a part of the Mount Pleasant community and look forward to taking care of you and your family.
Dr. Michelle Phillips
Dr. Michelle Phillips was born and raised in Johnson City, NY. She received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Le Monye College in Syracuse, NY. She continued her education at SUNY Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY, receiving a Master’s in Public Health. She then graduated from University at Buffalo, obtaining a degree in Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Dr. Phillips likes to spend time keeping active, and enjoying the outdoors with her dog and fiance. Last spring, she attended a mission trip to the Dominican Republic to provide care to remote villages with limited access to medical care.

Heather Henry
Dental Hygienist
Heather is one of our two wonderful dental hygienists. She has been a hygienist for 21 years and has been with us here at PWFD for 16 years. Heather was born and raised just down the road in Mt. Vernon! She is married and has two teenagers. Heather loves to be outside and enjoys camping, cooking and hanging out with her family.
Kristi Byrnes
Office Manager
Kristi is originally from Farmersville, Texas and moved to Winnsboro after meeting her husband in 2014. Together they have two beautiful daughters and four dogs. Kristi has been in dentistry since 2010 and has been with PWFD since 2017. We are SOO lucky to have her!
Kassi Thompson
Registered Dental Assistant
Kassi has been with us here at Piney Woods since 2017. In addition to being a chairside assistant, she handles all of our airway cases. Outside of work, Kassi loves spending time with her husband and little boy and being outside.
Kaley Nuss
Dental Hygienist
Kaley, who has been practicing dental hygiene for 14 years, is an East Texas native. She has been with Piney Woods since February 2022 and we are so happy to have her as part of our team! She and her husband, Chad, have two children, ages 16 and 11. They are active in their church and homeschool community and enjoy being outdoors. In her free time, Kaley can be found spending time with her friends and family.
Whitley Walden
Appointment Coordinator
Whitley joined the Piney Woods team in July 2020. She is the first smiling face you see when you walk into our practice! When she is not at work, Whitley loves taking motorcycle rides with her husband, spending time with her daughter and lounging around with her very spoiled pups.
